Apparently the debate is over and the quinces have won. Juliette was spotted with a bag of ‘pears’ she has collected and according to her she has been making quince jelly with our fruit for the past four years! and
We hide behind the hedge at Starlings. Our cool green wall is an indigenous Rhus and we could not imagine life without it.
There is an ongoing discussion on whether the old tree in the garden is a quince or a pear. Either way we love it. Especially when the hard fruit falls, mostly narrowly missing unsuspecting customers. Hard hats in late summer
